My blog is mainly about fitness, nutrition and achieving goals and dreams. But I have to start at the beginning so here goes!
I always been fun and fearless. I’ve been on many adventures in my life. I’ve zip-lined through the Yucatan Jungle, I’ve rappelled down into a crater in in Chamulch and hiked down into the belly of a cave in Tolumne to swim in a underground lake. I’ve jet-skied the Mayan Rivera all the way to the ocean on a snorkeling adventure. And so much more. Most recently I jumped from the top of Las Vegas’s Stratosphere. I guess you could say I love adrenaline. But more so than that, being fearless proves my trust in myself, my abilities and my choices. But the past 4 years have been pretty tough for me. After my divorce in 2010, I was on a pretty destructive path. I had just started working as a hairdresser in 2008, working long hours on my feet and not making enough money to pay the bills and buy groceries. I was depressed and didn’t even want to get out of bed. I wasn’t eating properly (pretty much surviving on a few handfuls of candy a day. I wasn’t getting enough physical activity and I had turned to some pretty bad habits to help me deal with stress. Plus, I was flat broke and barely getting by. To make matters worse… I had a serious asthma attack in March of 2010 that put me in the hospital for 5 days and another exactly a year later to the date! And I had no insurance. Talk about stress!
But then things started changing. I changed my environment for more serenity. I met my fiancé, Gabe, and moved to the Central Coast. I became a Beachbody Coach at that time but I didn’t stick with it. I was still so unhappy with myself and my situation that I didn’t have the focus to follow through and I did everything I could to destroy my relationship and I almost did! We split up and things began to spiral again. I was making the same bad choices and not focusing on what was important. When I had had enough, I did some real soul searching and digging to find out why I was so unhappy and I set my focus on changing that. I was determined to discover why I was here, what was going wrong in my life and why and what my purpose in this life was. I found a support group that helped me to became more loving and accepting of myself and my flaws and learned to nurture and love myself. Then I was able to start over in my relationship with new hope and a new outlook. And I recently rededicated myself to being a Beachbody Coach and helping others. And that is when I realized how passionate I have always been about health and fitness! And why not take advantage of this opportunity to use that share my passion with others to help them achieve their health and fitness goals?
I started focusing on myself, my health and my goals. I’ve created harmony in my life through personal development which has taught me so much about myself and how important it is to have a balance in my life. Now I am able to focus on all of my important goals, not just health and fitness goals, or financial goals, but every goal for everything I want in this lifetime, which includes healthy relationships with my fiancé, my family and my friends. It really is a balancing act. However, with the excellent leadership and support from my Beachbody Team, I have found the leader in me and I have all of the ammunition to get to where I need to be. Why? Because I have focused on changing me first. Being my authentic self. Loving myself and learning more about myself and my potential. And I know there is no way I am going to fail because I am using the same formula for success that has helped my mentors change their lives. And I am really excited to be able to share all of this with others and help them change their lives as well. I can help you achieve your goals and change your life too! Just ask.
